The sunshine might have us all thinking of beaches and ice cream, but summer is the perfect time to protect your Porsche against the ravages of rust.
Tuthill Porsche strongly recommend waxoyling classic cars annually, and summer is the ideal time to do it. With the help of our outside vehicle lift and steam cleaner, we can thoroughly clean the underside of your beloved Porsche and let the warm summer air dry it out, before giving it a detailed inspection for the early stages of rust.
Once clean and dry, we can then protect at-risk areas with zinc primer or similar, before coating the entire underbody in impenetrable Waxoyl, to guard against the onset of corrosion.
As with all things rust related, it is exponentially better to prevent the dreaded tin worm from ever starting than having to cut original metal out when it gets eaten through lack of maintenance.
NOW is the time to do this, while the weather is good and cars are dry. Summer temperatures ensure the cars get properly cleaned, the wax is viscous when it is applied and can seep into all the nooks and crannies that need protecting on a Porsche.
