Based in the engine room at our brand new, state of the art building, this is an enviable opportunity to work with great people for a highly regarded brand and become part of a talented team.
The position expands our engine building group to help meet the ever-increasing demand from clients of our road car service and motorsport workshops, along with bespoke Porsche builds and our Below Zero Ice Driving winter experience.

The engine builder/tuner position is best summarised as follows:
Job Purpose
- To build new and rebuild Porsche competition and road engines and gearboxes
- To carry out full strip-down, cleaning and inspection of all engine and gearbox components
- Recognise and rectify all faults on engine and gearbox components
- Carry out engine and gearbox assessments
Key responsibilities
- To build/rebuild high-quality Porsche engines
- To carry out the engine running diagnosis
- To tune and sign off new engine builds
- Option to travel on race/rally events worldwide to maintain and support
- Maintain the workshop to the best presentation level
- Ensure all plant and equipment is maintained correctly with any defects reported
- Be familiar with and work to the company’s health and safety standards
- Advise and report on any issues relating to health and safety
- To comply with all company policies and procedures
- Support other departments when required
Skills Required
- Excellent engine build knowledge and technical skills
- Very good understanding of carburettor tuning
- Communicate effectively and resolve problems efficiently
- Be flexible and possess a good sense of humour
- Self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
Personal Qualities
- Energetic, proactive, calm under pressure, highly personable, and mature personality
- Ability to thrive in a tight and dedicated team
- Excellent organisational skills
- Flexibility to work slightly longer hours if required
Experience Required
- Past experience in building/rebuilding Porsche engines a substantial advantage
- Rebuilding and tuning of carburettors an advantage
- Relevant technical knowledge
Education and Qualifications
- Full driving licence is essential
