Another faultless drive ensured that Dessie Nutt and Geraldine McBride became British champions for the 5th time!
It’s been 5 years since he last won the championship so it was with huge relief that Dessie crossed the finish board on the final stage. His famous yellow 2.0 ltr Porsche 911 caused no problems and maintained its exceptional finishing record throughout this season.
It will now be rebuilt for the 2010 season. The main work being on the bodyshell, that suffered a lot of largely cosmetic damage on the Severn Valley Rally when they rolled 3 times down a bank.
Dessie’s next event will be the Safari Rally, where he will be working for the Tuthill Porsche team in the capacity of Team doctor.
