Below Zero, the Tuthill Porsche ice driving experience has set the dates for its 2017 season. We’ve also launched a new video, demonstrating why our formula of classic Porsche 911s on ice has won so many loyal followers since we first started ice driving in Norway during 2005.
“Next year will be our thirteenth season of ice driving and our sixth here in Sweden,” says Tim Scarff at Below Zero. “More than a decade of running classic Porsche rally cars on frozen Scandinavian lakes, entertaining hundreds of drivers with skill levels ranging from World Rally Champions and Formula 1 stars to amateur drivers with their friends and families have taught us exactly what our customers want. The Below Zero formula gets a few tweaks from last year, following our best-ever season.”
Porsche 914/6 starts ice driving duties in 2017
The 2017 season, which runs from January 10th to mid-March, includes a new addition to the Below Zero fleet. “We’ve added another classic Porsche for next year, in the form of a 914/6,” says Tim. “The challenge of the mid-engined Porsche classic will be a new experience for our returning customers.”
All drivers are in very safe hands. Sitting alongside all Below Zero customers is a world-class driving instructor from a carefully chosen team of performance driving experts, including British and International Rally Champions. “Everything about Below Zero’s bespoke driving packages is of the highest calibre,” says Scarff. “From our cars, which are genuine rally Porsches, prepared by the respected Tuthill Porsche workshop, through to our top class instructors, authentic Scandinavian log cabin retreat and optional extras including snowmobile safaris, helicopter transfers and private jet charters, is aimed at giving our customers a truly unforgettable experience.
“We believe Below Zero Ice Driving really is the most fun you can have on four wheels. Top Gear presenter, Chris Harris, has a Below Zero Porsche ice driving video on Youtube with more than 400,000 views, in which he names Below Zero as how he would choose to use his last gallon of petrol. High praise indeed! Below Zero Ice Driving delivers an experience you simply won’t find elsewhere. No one leaves our frozen lake disappointed.”
