Tuthill Porsche is based in Oxfordshire and completes restoration projects and builds bespoke road cars. All aspects of Porsche rebuilds are carried out in-house, including engine and transmission builds, rust repair, metal fabrication, roll cage installation and full body paint. We are synonymous with the world’s most successful historic Porsche rally and race cars and have worked with some of rallying’s greatest names.

This role reports to the Motorsport Principle, and work closely with the Senior Motorsport Technician, you will be responsible for being a key part in in instrumenting the dream and will build/rebuild rally and race cars, with the opportunity of travelling the world to support out rally and circuit events.

Key responsibilities:

• To build / rebuild rally and race cars
• Ensure the rally and race cars are built consistently, to the highest standards and meets the relevant set up parameters and all the criteria of the build specification
• To problem solve and diagnose faults with minimum supervision
• Deliver constant improvements to the rally and race cars when required
• Suggest avenues of further development to facilitate future improvement of the car.
• Event support (optional)
• Responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of your work area within the workshop, and all tools and equipment.
• Complying with all safe systems of work processes in an automotive assembly environment

Experience/skills required:

• Building and rebuild of bespoke competition cars to an extremely high level 
• Experience working on Porsches of all ages and types would be an advantage
• Excellent workshop knowledge & technical skills
• High attention to detail
• The ability to communicate effectively and resolve problems quickly and efficiently
• Good communication, organisation and inter-personal skills
• Be flexible and possess a good sense of humour
• Be able to manage your time and prioritise your workload
• Full Driving licence – Essential
