The 2.0L Cup continues to thrill, with wonderfully close racing at all rounds of the 2019 season, including Spa Classic and Dijon Grand Prix de l’Age d’Or.
The most recent round was at the Hungaroring from July 12-14. We supported five cars at the event, including a new face on the 2.0 Cup grid: well-known racer, Shaun Lynn, in a car built here at Wardington. It was another great weekend, with Tuthill cars setting the highest top speeds in both free practice and the race.
Tuthill 2-litres made up four of the top nine cars, with Richard Cook/Harvey Stanley finishing on the podium and again winning the Gentleman class. Philippe de Craene and David Clark/Patrick Blakeney-Edwards came home seventh and eighth respectively, while John Bennett and 2L Cup debutante, James Cottingham, finished ninth. Shaun Lynn and Richard Meins came home thirteenth in their first 2L Cup outing. Well done to all!
The next round of the 2.0L Cup is at Monza on September 20-22nd.
