Mouton gets tough with Tuthill Porsche in Morocco

Michele Mouton in a Tuthill Porsche 911 on the Historic Morocco rally is returning to competition after two years away.

Tuthill Porsche enjoyed an interesting first day on the Rallye International du Maroc.

Currently holding second place after setting fastest time on Stage 1 is Tuthill regular, Geoff Bell. Geoff was third fastest on the following two stages and is running a very strong pace.

One Tuthill star hit an early problem, when our friend Michele Mouton, returning to competition after two years away, hit a rock in her 911 and broke a brake caliper. This is only perhaps the third time we have seen this happen in all our years of rallying. The incident cost Michele almost 30 minutes as she found her way home sans freins.

Latest news from Day Two is that two of today’s stages have been washed out by heavy rain. More news as it comes in.
