Tuthill Porsche: Belgium to Sydney to London

It’s a big day today for Tuthill Porsche, as two of our latest 911 builds turn their first wheels on a rally stage, in testing for the Sydney-London Marathon Rally. Meanwhile, back at Wardington, the boss is tuning the carbs on this Belgian 911, which has so far competed in Morocco, on the London to Cape Town and now heads down under.

Three Tuthill Porsche 911s are taking part in the 2014 Sydney to London Rally, all built to our marathon rally spec. Kicking off in Sydney on April 12th, the Sydney-London Rally charges 7,750 kilometres right across Australia. After almost two weeks of rallying, the cars will arrive in Perth and are then flown to Ankara.

From Ankara, there are still 6,000 kilometres remaining, with 100kms of stage miles every day. A month after setting off from Sydney, the cars will arrive in London and the winner will be crowned.

It should come as no surprise to learn that Mr Globetrotting Porsche rallyist himself, Francis Tuthill Esq, will be following the entire event in a service van. We expect to hear great stories along the way: Francis has been unstoppable for pictures and video since treating himself to a camera-equipped iPad!
