Here are the headlines:

  • 3.8 ltr engine, upgraded from a 3.6 ltr 993 engine

  • 6 speed G50 gearbox
  • Body panels based on the 930
  • 993 running gear setup, to create a unique driving experience

  • Bluetooth connectivity sound system
  • Very limited numbers being produced

This is the car to drive 500km a day without fatigue, but one should also be able to charge down a country road with the same sense of lightness one would normally associate with earlier Porsche 911’s.

Thoughts From Richard Tuthill:

“Welcome to a car for long road trips, to be enjoyed in comfort, but with an early feel.

The standard 993 has wonderful air of competence about it with great NVH (noise, vibration & harshness) characteristics, loads of creature comforts built in, and offers a very relaxing driving experience.

However, we love earlier looking cars with a bias towards playfulness and character.  This is not pretending to be something else; we are not hiding its origins.

We are very subtly changing the looks, the feel, and the dynamics of it, whilst retaining all we love that’s inherently built into the base car.

This is the car to drive 500km a day without fatigue, but one should also be able to charge down a country road with the same sense of lightness one would normally associate with earlier Porsche 911’s.

The interior has been updated and simplified with some inspiration coming from the iconic 3.2 ClubSport – Less Is More.

Why the SCRS body?  Because our Porsche rallying began through involvement with the Rothmans Grp B rally program so it was a natural option for us to consider, not to mention we love the look!

As with many things in life simplicity is the key, I hope we’ve found that here….”

Thoughts from SCRS Clients:

Ever since my first meeting with Richard, where he shared with me his vision for recreating the look and personality of the SC/RS, our collaborative process has been excellent.
I wanted a naturally aspirated, delightfully analogue, period 911, with good manners for everyday use and the occasional track day. My SC/RS ticks every box.

There is very little that Tuthill’s don’t know about road and race 911’s.

Martin Ephson

“After driving the Tuthill 3.0RS that was built for my father, I was hooked. I have worked closely with Richard and his team to produce something special to drive and to look at. This is my first build with Tuthill Porsche, but it won’t be my last.”

Ed Lovett

“Given there will only be 15 cars of this specification, Richard and I have used another great idea from the Porsche factory – all the cars will be themed around the colours of the Porsche IROC cars, however a touch of artistic licence has been allowed”
