2019 Safari Classic Rally Day 3 Report

Report from Day 3 of the 2019 East African Safari Classic Rally

Heavy downpours which led to flash flooding in the areas around Ponane, Monduli and Samora in Arusha, Tanzania caused the cancellation of the third day of the 2019 East African Safari Classic Rally.

The three stages that were to be covered on Saturday, November 30th by the twenty rally competitors were affected by torrential rains, rendering them unsafe and impassable. The organisers agreed the cancellation with the crews before allowing the two-hour evening service to be brought forward to daylight: a bonus for our team.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, Tuthill’s Kris Rosenberger and Nicola Bleicher start day four second on the road, with Team Tidö Race4Health’s Stig Blomqvist and Jörgen Fornander in third position overall.

With no rally action to report on, Richard took his video diary into service for a look at the facilities we ship to every East African Safari Classic Rally to keep our cars in contention. More tomorrow!
