Tuthill Porsche will run a number of classic Porsche 911 rally cars for Sweden’s Team Race4Health in the this year’s East African Safari Classic Rally, held from November 19-27, 2015.
Tuthill Porsche ran six of its famous Safari Porsche 911s for Team Race4Health/Team Tido on the 2013 EASR rally through Kenya and Tanzania. This year sees an exciting reprise of the classic Porsche partnership between the UK classic Porsche rally experts and the Swedish motorsport organisation.
Team Tido and Tuthill Porsche
Team Tido was founded in 2008 to compete in historic rallies across Europe and Africa, running two cars on that year’s Midnight Sun Rally supported by Tuthill Porsche. Since then, we have co-operated on a number of race events, including the thrilling Copenhagen Historic Grand Prix, with Björn Waldegård and Stig Blomqvist.
Team Tido also competes outside rallying, employing up to twenty team members during the motorsport season. Two of its technicians, Ida Strömsass and Sebastian Walfridsson, recently spent some time at the Tuthill Porsche workshops, working on our Safari cars and learning their way around the unique Tuthill Porsche chassis.
