Winter felt long this year, which meant it felt like it had been even longer since the motorsport team were out on track.
Mugello was the first race of the 2024 Peter Auto 2.0 Litre Cup season, and it was certainly full of energy and some promising initial results.
Car #11 of Evgeny and Ramzan, competing in the GTL-ELI class, took second spot on the podium with Stephen and Matt in car #27 narrowly missing out on 3rd; but only to fellow Tuthill Porsche clients Guy and Oli.
In the GTL category it was Philippe de Craene who took home bronze, managing a top speed of 200.1 KPH. However, it was Ramzan who claimed fasted lap out of the Tuthill Porsche clients reaching the heady speed of 204.9 KPH, which he actually achieved during qualifying.
Huge congratulations to everyone at the first racing event of the year.

Spa Classic is up next, and will be taking place between the 16th-19th May.
“If drivers love coming to the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, it’s because of the exceptional track that challenges them at every turn. Barely out of the Chicane, after a short straight, the hairpin bend at the head of the Source already forces them to brake drastically before launching them towards a Raidillon that has regularly challenged many of them. And what can we say about the typical weather in this region of the Ardennes? A start in the sun may well force the cars to change tyres unexpectedly with the arrival of a ‘drache’ which washes out the track in a short space of time, making it slippery for certain categories of car…”
