Our latest Tuthill Bespoke Porsche 911 road car is this superb LHD 911 SC built for an American client as a Safari-inspired road car. The Safari style road car is a popular trend amongst US 911 enthusiasts at the minute, but this is one Safari road car that can claim direct links to the only Porsche 911s that have won the Safari Classic Rally to date.
Interesting road car projects always get our creative juices flowing and this was a very interesting build. The bodyshell had all the same prep as one of our fully-fledged rally machines, with many hundreds of hours invested by our fabrication team before the car could be sent to the paint shop. Dash and roll cage were finished in body colour (the roll cage front section was later trimmed in leather) and extra styling touches were added, including ducktail engine cover and front and rear nudge bars.
The 911 is now equipped with a full rally-spec wiring harness, powering our high-intensity driving lights in the door mirrors and a colour-coded light pod on the bonnet. Also note the classic carbon-fibre rally roof vent, painted in body colour. Suspension is the best money can buy and identical to our Safari cars, as are the in-house Tuthill brake calipers with fully adjustable brake bias. This really is a magnificent machine.
Our cars are all built to be driven with enthusiasm. With many thousands of miles covered in our Safari cars on liaison stages across Europe and Africa, we know how good they feel on the road. This latest road car is a beautiful machine on the road and we look forward to seeing many photos of its new owner enjoying it to the maximum!
